Some of you might remember Miss Charlie, she is the pig that come from Virginia, she lived in a college dorm with a bunch of nice young men. However, graduation June, 2004, found Miss Charlie without a home. And so the story goes...

Dear Susan,

I was so anxious to let you know how great Miss Charlie is doing, so much better than I had expected, because I am such a worry wart.

Yesterday when Miss Charlie and I got home, I let her meet the doggie, and the kitties.  They all get along great, and Miss Charlie, who is now lovingly being called Heidi, has really taken a shine to the little kitten, Cricket. Heidi lays down and lets the kitten walk all over her. They seem to have bonded already, because the kitten follows Heidi all over. Then, after dinner, I laid down on the floor, and Heidi came over to me, and laid real close to me, with her face so close to mine, and I held her, and gave her kisses.  She loves all her blankets. She's got them sprawled all over the floor.

I gave her a bath last night however, and she did not like that too much. I put some Cheerios in the tub, but she still got upset, and is now just a little leery of the bathroom. She does not want to go in there, and she seemed a little upset with me afterwards as well, but, I will get her forgiveness soon enough.

She did not want to go outside last night to do her business, and of course, after such a long day, really didn't blame her, so I just let her sleep... and that she did, all night long. No messes. But, then this morning, I put her harness on, and tried coaxing her out. She was not  happy to be disturbed...  But, she finally followed, and came outside. She really likes eating the grass outside, but the only problem is, she wouldn't go to the bathroom.  It seems like she's been holding it in all this time. She didn't go before the car ride home yesterday. Nor, did she go last night, or this morning. I am going to go home today around 10:30 to let her out again. It seems like she forgets about going to the bathroom when there is all that beautiful grass to eat! Any suggestions?

She's such a good girl though... so sweet, and always wagging her tail. And, after cleaning around her eyes, I noticed what beautiful blue eyes she has.  She's such pretty girl. I can't wait to take her for a nice little walk after work. (I want her to get a little more accustomed to the harness) Then again, I also realize that I need to take things slow, so, we'll see how she feels first. I don't want to push her too much, too fast. She's been taking all this so well... I wouldn't want to ruin it.

All in all, things are going really well.  I am so happy.  It seems that she was the perfect match for me... as I am already in love!!!  Thank you so much  Jennifer
